2D/3D/4D Medical Ultrasounds
We offer a combined 2D/3D/4D medical ultrasounds to expecting mothers In our modern, relaxing and tasteful clinic. The 3D and 4D technology is used primarily to assess and visualise the babies face, hands and feet, so while we are doing this you can see life-like images of your baby.
The medical exam is designed to assess your baby and make sure that the growth and well-being of your baby is normal. Along with this, the 3D/4D component can provide a positive bonding experience between the mother, father, and their baby. Research has shown that realistic images provide a connection between parents and child that can not be obtained with traditional 2D ultrasound imaging.
Please note that our ultrasound is safe for both mother and fetus. Our state of the art technology uses the EXACT same ultrasonic waves used in a traditional 2D scan. The highly advanced ultrasound machine uses software to render the 2D image into 3D/4D images. It's that simple!
With our brand new state-of-the-art Ultrasound machine, we are able to visualize activities of the baby that are difficult or impossible to identify with older ultrasound equipment, therefore providing greater diagnostic capabilities. For example with 4D scanning the fetus can now be seen to yawn and poke out its tongue, smile, swallow, blink and perform intricate finger movements. These activities can be seen in mid pregnancy although they become more common as pregnancy advances. Some of these activities are important to see from a medical perspective.
